“Thank you! Every message you report helps SpamGuard perform better.”
I can’t believe how many times I have to tick an e-mail as spam this couple of weeks. It seems that SpamGuard is only getting worse. Last year (2007), I hardly had any spam for the span of a year. Then these past few weeks, I find that I’d have to either delete some new message or mark it as spam. And these are probably e-mails containing an proposition (scam) or worse, a virus, worm or trojan.
Learning from being a tech support agent, I’ve been trained not to open attachments or messages from people I don’t know. But I wonder if everyone else is as cautious as I am. Sometimes, the subject of an email can really catch one’s interest that the person forgets that he / she doesn’t know who it’s from, and immediately opens it – and unleashing its payload.
Is Yahoo SpamGuard really getting better? Or is this increase in spam a sign that the people at Yahoo are not doing their job as well as they have been in the past?
